Fugazi to release first ever demo on vinyl and CD
The niftily titled ‘First Demo’ includes one previously unreleased song.
The beginnings of Fugazi had, up to now, been traced back in recorded form to 1988, where they released their self-titled debut EP (and the rest was history). But before exploding into action, they put down a series of recordings in the beginning of the year.
‘First Demo’ brings together songs recorded at Inner Ear Studio, by which point Fugazi only had 10 shows to their name.
Out as an LP/CP/digital release later this year, ‘First Demo’ is set to contain a previously unreleased song (‘Turn Off Your Guns’), as well as ‘In Defense of Humans’, which previously came out on a ‘State of the Union’ compilation from 1989.
The new release completes the first phase of the Fugazi Live Series, which documents each and every one of Fugazi’s live performances (there’s over a thousand of them).
Featuring Yard Act, Death Cab For Cutie, Graham Coxon, Maisie Peters and more.
