Gaggle To Perform London ‘Ninja’ Shows, Put Together Mixtape

The 21-strong all-woman group will play unique and unusual ‘ninja’ shows around the capital ahead of the release of their debut album ‘From the Mouth of the Cave’ this month.

Ahead of the release of their debut album, 21-piece all-woman group Gaggle will be performing twelve unique ‘ninja’ gigs around London.

The first of their unusual and impromptu performances took place on Saturday when the band - who release ‘From the Mouth of the Cave’ (reviewed on DIY here) through Transgressive on June 25 - performed the album’s title track whilst walking from the Banksy tunnel, through Westminster Bridge, and under the statue of Boudicca.

The band are set to continue performing the ‘ninja’ gigs throughout June, with details of the further eleven to be announced on their Twitter profile a few hours in advance.

You can see photos from the first of their ‘ninja’ gigs on Flickr here.

Meanwhile, the band have also decided to put together a compilation on SoundCloud featuring what they call ‘Gaggle tunes’ ahead of the release of their album - including songs from Bjork, Outkast and System of a Down. You can listen to the compilation on SoundCloud.

As well as the sporadic ninja gigs, Gaggle play at London’s Village Underground on July 4.
