Garbage Announce ‘Battle In Me’ As May Single
The band will also be releasing a limited edition red 7” on Record Store Day.

Garbage have unveiled details of their forthcoming single ‘Battle In Me’ due for release on May 7th. The track will be taken from their fifth studio album, ‘Not Your Kind of People’, due later this year (14th May). The band will also be releasing a limited edition red 7” of ‘Battle In Me’ / ‘Blood For Poppies’ on Record Store Day (April 21st).
The band, who reformed in 2010 to write new material, had been holed up in GrungeIsDead studios in Los Angeles, a set-up owned by member Butch Vig.
Frontman Shirley Manson had this to say about the new album:
“Thinking about going back on the road is both thrilling and terrifying in equal measure,” although the band are excited about bringing an end to their seven year break.’
Manson recently collaborated with System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian. Their track ‘The Hunger’ was released on iTunes with all profits going towards Amnesty International.
