Garbage will release their fifth studio album, ‘Not Your Kind of People’, in 2012 after seven years out and have announced a series of UK and European dates to go with it.
The band, who reformed in 2010 to write new material, had been holed up in GrungeIsDead studios in Los Angeles, a set-up owned by member Butch Vig.
Frontman Shirley Manson had this to say about the new album:
“Thinking about going back on the road is both thrilling and terrifying in equal measure,” although the band are excited about bringing an end to their seven year break.’
Manson recently collaborated with System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian. Their track ‘The Hunger’ was released on iTunes with all profits going towards Amnesty International.
‘Not Your Kind of People’ is set for release on 14 May.
