Listen: Girl Band preview debut album with ‘Pears For Lunch’

Hear another track from ‘Holding Hands With Jamie’.
Girl Band have unveiled ‘Pears For Lunch’, a ferocious highlight from the Dublin group’s debut album ‘Holding Hands With Jamie’.
The track debuted last night on Huw Stephens’ BBC Radio 1 show, and it links up with ‘Paul’ in previewing the LP. Frontman Dara Kiely laments about how he looks “crap with my top off,” building towards a customary climax of deathly noise.
‘Holding Hands With Jamie’ is out 25th September on Rough Trade.
Girl Band play the following UK dates:
OCTOBER
06 London, 100 Club
NOVEMBER
02 London, Rough Trade East
03 Brighton, Patterns
04 Manchester, Soup Kitchen
05 Leeds, Nation of Shopkeepers
07 Dublin, Button Factory
Update:
'Pears For Lunch' now has a video, starring Dara Kiely stuffing a banana down his face and a television-centric wedding.
