Glass Animals share new song ‘Gold Lime’
A cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs ‘Gold Lion’ and Erykah Badu’s ‘The Healer’ - at the same time - its a celebration of the band’s upcoming Central Park show in New York.
Glass Animals have shared a new song to celebrate their upcoming show in New York. The band are set to play New York’s Central Park SummerStage on 9th August.
“Because it’s such an exciting moment for us all, we decided to take a song from a New York band that we love, and then Glass Animalsify it…” the band said. Anyway, in the end they couldn’t decide on just one cover. ‘Gold Lime’ mixes ‘Gold Lion’ by Yeah Yeah Yeahs with a little bit of ‘The Healer’ by Erykah Badu for good measure.
As for the Glass Animalification, that’s here in its droves. “Now, tell me what you saw, tell me what you saw, there was a crowd of seeds,” slinks Dave Bayley, over sleepy DJ screw style samples.
