Glass Animals unveil bone-breaking video for ‘Hazey’
Oxford band air the kind of video that’d make Gary Barlow’s eyes pop out the back of his head.
Oxford experimentalists Glass Animals have unveiled a tense, jealousy-inducing, mind-boggling new video for their sleek, bubbling-up ‘Hazey’ single.
Taken from debut album ‘Zaba’, the single’s getting its own release on 13th October via Wolf Tone / Caroline An accompanying video focuses in on a London dance collective Solitary Crew. You won’t see this lot appearing on Britain’s Got Talent, mostly because they’d make Gary Barlow’s eyes pop out the back of his head, and nobody wants that.
These ridiculously ambitious and probably quite foolhardy dancers like to participate in something called ‘bone breaking’, which, true to its name, tests the average so-and-so’s limbs to the limit. Joints crack, elbows slip out of sockets - or at least it looks that way, god knows how they do it - and these insane human beings actually come out looking quite pleased with themselves by the end of it.
This October, Glass Animals plays the following UK shows (they’re also at Bestival this weekend, 4th September):

11 Manchester, Sound Control
