Glastonbury Festival have launched their 2019 ‘Emerging Talent’ competition, allowing new UK and Ireland-based acts to compete for a chance to appear at this year’s festival.

In addition to following in the footsteps of the likes of 2015 winner Declan McKenna, a team up with PRS For Music and the PRS Foundation offers the winner a £5,000 Talent Development prize, and two runners up £2,500 for the same.

Glastonbury’s Emily Eavis says “After our year off, we can’t wait to hear the
latest crop of undiscovered music that’s out there. New music is hugely important to what this Festival is about, and the Emerging Talent Competition has helped us to unearth so many incredible artists from across the genres. Bring on the entries!”

Hopeful acts can enter via glastonburyfestivals.co.uk from 9am on Monday 28th January to 5pm Monday 4th February.

There are a couple of names already confirmed for Glastonbury 2019 - Stormzy is to headline the Friday night, while Janelle Monáe will also appear.
