“There is definitely someone filling the gap,” before Florence at Glastonbury

Glastonbury 2015 has already been host to a whole heap of drama, from the anti-Kanye petition, through Dave Grohl’s busted leg to Thursday night’s surprise appearances of Drenge and Wolf Alice.

While many of Glastonbury’s secrets have now been exposed, there’s still a small matter of the gap between Motorhead and Florence and the Machine on the Pyramid Stage, caused by Foo Fighters pulling out and the resulting lineup shuffle.

Rumors of Blur, Pulp and radio silence have been darting back and forth but Emily Eavis has confirmed what will be filling that gap. Well, sort of.

“There is definitely something filling that gap but under no circumstances will it be announced,” she admitted in an interview with the BBC. “Luckily it’s been a proper secret, a proper surprise, which actually is quite hard to do now because things get out. But there are only about four people other than the band, that know about this. Even people that work on the festival don’t know about it. They’re coming because they want to play Glastonbury and they’ve never done it before on the Pyramid Stage. That’s all I’m saying.”
