Gleemer share ‘Coast Cruiser’ track from new LP

‘Holyland, USA’ is a new release from the Colarado-based fuzz riders, out this September.

Gleemer is a project between Colorado-based friends Corey Coffman and Matt Roberts. Initially started by the former in bedroom-based beginnings, it’s since expanded its shoegaze-leaning radar into more expansive territory, more open to alternative possibilities.

With ‘Holyland, USA’, Gleemer’s set to make its first bold step. Out 18th September on UK label GoldFlakeTapes, it’s a record led by ‘Coast Cruiser’, a song that uses noise and distortion for smarter purposes. Notes bend, low notes chug along, but behind the glaze of fuzz, there’s a beautifully penned song designed to elevate. Think Youth Lagoon, if he had his head plugged into an amplifier while he slept. There’s a restlessness to this track that goes beyond obvious comparisons to shoegaze staples like MBV or Slowdive.
