Good Neighbours share nostalgic video for new track ‘Ripple’
It’s the pair’s first release of 2025, following their whirlwind last twelve months.

Indie-pop upstarts Good Neighbours have kicked off their musical year with the release of ‘Ripples’ - an upbeat yet emotional exploration of grief, mental health, and being there for your friends.
“Ripple was written about a close friend going through grief,” the duo have shared. “They felt overwhelmed by the feeling and would sink into themselves. This song is about pulling your loved ones out of that deep place.”.
Their latest single arrives hotly-anticipated, given that the pair have gone viral (with debut smash ‘Home’), toured with Grammy-nominee Benson Boone, and been shortlisted for a BRIT Award over the past year.
But ‘Ripples’ proves they’ve still got plenty up their sleeves; alongside the band’s first official music video - which sees their mini-mes encounter a character-shaping swimming lesson - the track shows an as yet unseen depth to Good Neighbours’ now-signature brand of feel-good nostalgia.
Speaking about the visualiser (which you can check out below), director Alex Lockett has explained: “The video explores the silent emotional battles men often face when submerged by grief or depression. The black brick and the difficulty young Oli faces reaching it, serve as a metaphor for the burdens we carry and the resistance we confront when bringing them to the surface. At its heart, it’s really a celebration of resilience and the importance of connection. It’s about overcoming life’s challenges together, with the right support from those around us.”
What’s more, Good Neighbours are also part of DIY’s Class Of 2025 - a collection of exciting artists that we’re tipping for big things this year. You can check out our Class Of ‘25 interview with the band in print here, or read it online here:
