Grandaddy are recording a new album
The band released their last album ‘Just Like the Fambly Cat’ before parting ways back in 2006.
Grandaddy frontman Jason Lytle has revealed that Grandaddy are currently recording a new album. It’s their first since going separate ways in 2006 following ‘Just Like the Fambly Cat’.
The album appears to be in the recording stages. Tracking the new release, Lytle refers back to Grandaddy’s 2000 record ‘The Sophtware Slump’ in a tweet, and clearly points to the new “GD LP”. Though they briefly reunited for a tour in 2012, Lytle’s focus was on his solo career at the time, and there was no new music from the band. Now, though, it looks like Grandaddy are back together in the studio.
