At last night’s Dublin Olympia gig - as part of her European tour - Grimes’ electric live show suffered a few technical setbacks. Namely, Claire Boucher is reported to have suffered electric shocks several times while on stage, due to a dodgy pedal that wasn’t taking any prisoners. Being Grimes, it obviously didn’t faze her, and she still finished the gig.Following the show, Grimes tweeted (since deleted) - “Dublin! 1 mil apologies that my pedal failed and I was electrocuted, but there r tears in my eyes that y’all were so so wonderful.”Fan footage (below) appears to capture one of the shocks.Catch up with DIY’s Grimes cover feature here.
