Half Waif is streaming her new EP ‘form/a’ in full

Nandi Rose Plunkett, member of Pinegrove and the force behind electronic project Half Waif, is set to release her new EP ‘form/a’ this Friday (24th February). Having already self-released two EPs and two albums, ‘form/a’ follows 2014’s ‘Probable Depths’ and is Nandi’s first record for label Cascine. Far removed from her work with the New Jersey band. the six-track collection sees her diving even more deeply into glacial alt-pop, each track pulsating with waves of icy synths, heady basslines and stabs of vintage electronic melodies. In a statement, Nandi said that the collection contained “songs of self, but not self in a vacuum, romanticized into isolation; rather, self as it is given form through interactions with other people and with the physical environment. It is a step towards bringing abstract feelings into a concrete world, so that we may better see each other.” Ahead of it’s release, Nandi is now streaming the whole of ‘form/a’ in full, which you can listen to below.
