It’s been a few months since Zac Farro, aka HalfNoise, released his EP ‘The Velvet Face’ earlier in the year.
Now he’s announced plans to return to the UK! Zac and co will be playing a one-off show at The Borderline in London on 25th January. Speaking of the trip back to the UK, he said: “Really excited to be back playing in the UK with HALFNOISE, we had great shows earlier this year and we are stoked about playing in London again in January!!” Tickets are on sale now.
In October, Zac shared a video for ‘Scooby’s In The Back’, which doesn’t feature any Scooby Doo but does go through some pretty archival footage. Speaking to Noisey at the time, Zac said: “The entire The Velvet Face EP to me was intended to feel like those older records like Pet Sounds and Rubber Soul […] so I wanted the video to match that. That Beach Boys-y, trippy feel was exactly what I was going for. I came across this amazing footage of New Zealand in the 70s, all shot on 16mm film, and I couldn’t see the video being anything besides that footage. I felt like I found gold”.

An altogether curious record which lets the world rest assured that, in spite of everything, at least Zac is having a happy time.
