Hannah Lou Clark gets gritty on ‘Matilda’
Ahead of releasing her new EP ‘The Heart And All Its Sin’ this Friday (24th March), Hannah Lou Clark has shared gritty new single ‘Matilda’, and we’ve got its first play. A blues-indebted introduction gives way to a chorus of nimble, sliding guitars and a sky-reaching vocal that sounds like Wolf Alice’s Ellie Rowsell gone grunge. A track about strength, ‘Matilda’ burns with the intensity of friendship and carrying on. Talking of the song, Clark says: ”A friend once told me life is a long song, I kind of had that in mind when writing Matilda.”
