Harley Alexander weirds out for ‘Not New’ video

Harley Alexander has moves. Lots of them, on the basis of his ‘Not New’ video.

The Canadian put out his ‘Not New’ single back in September, going by the name Harley Alexander & The Universal Lovers. For the unacquainted, his music finds itself in the under-ether, curious territory of Connan Mockasin, Ducktails, et al., but there’s a definite goofy Mac DeMarco-style spirit running round this new video, premiering on DIY.

Starting by the coast, Alexander soon finds himself climbing trees, doing high kicks and shaking a tambourine like his life depends on it. Jeff Miller directs - it’s quite something.
