Has Brandon Flowers announced his new solo album?
The Killers frontman has already been teasing new music, and now it looks like a date and title have been unveiled.
After posting a short teaser video containing a hint of new music this weekend, it seems as though Brandon Flowers has now gone one step further in confirming his new solo album.
Over on Flowers’ official website, The Killers frontman has posted a mysterious handwritten note, beginning with the line, ‘May 18th, 2015, we will finally achieve The Desired Effect.’ From what we can only assume, this seems to be Flowers’ way of confirming that the follow-up to his 2010 record ‘Flamingo’ will be titled ‘The Desired Effect’ - which was also used as a hashtag on Flowers’ Twitter page - and is set to land on 18th May.
The note goes further to mention his collaboration with producer Ariel Rechtshaid, with the whole thing reading as follows:
‘May 18th, 2015, we will finally achieve The Desired Effect. Ariel and I have been collaborating in the studio, working twogether in the spirit of conversation, contention, and at long last, sweet contrition. No one has yet seen or heard the change. But soon, we all will.
