Hercules And Love Affair Announce New Album, ‘The Feast of the Broken Heart’

New record - out via Moshi Moshi - most notably features John Grant on vocals.

Hercules and Love Affair

have announced their return. The Andy Butler-led project will release a follow-up to 2011’s ‘Blue Songs’ with a new album ‘The Feast of the Broken Heart’. It’s out 26th May on the project’s new label Moshi Moshi.

‘The Feast of the Broken Heart’ features guest vocals most notably from John Grant. Rouge Mary, and Krystle Warren also appear on the record.

Butler’s promising ‘aggressive’ techno on this release, headed up by ‘Do You Feel The Same?’, which comes out on 14th April. He didn’t mention anything about the artwork (just look at it), but in a statement he asserted the following:

“I wanted nasty basslines, stormy, bleary-eyed sounds, fiery, rough, tough and ragged old school house productions that sounded almost techno. I didn’t want polite, I wanted aggressive.’
