Interpol announce new album, ‘El Pintor’
Band’s fifth album is out this September. Watch in-the-studio footage now.
Interpol have finally announced details of their fifth album.
‘El Pintor’ is the band’s first since 2010’s self-titled release (yes, ‘El Pintor’ is an anagram of ‘Interpol’). Released on 8th September via [PIAS] Co-op, it’s the group’s first record without Carlos Dengler. The remaining members recorded the majority of the album in New York City at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound.
The record was mixed in London ahead of an NME Awards Tour with Royal Blood, Temples and Circa Waves. James Brown engineered the record, with Alan Moulder on mixing duties.
Interpol will support their new record with summer fest appearances, including Glastonbury Festival (27th June). They’re also set to play London’s Electric Ballroom on 25th June.

1. All the Rage Back Home
