El Drunkor
Interpol get pissed and seedy for new ‘My Desire’ video
Drunken, tear-strewn brawl links up with new album ‘El Pintor’.
Where best to commemorate a recent break-up than in a whiskey-soaked absolute dive of a bar, where rugged-types somehow (it takes a lot of drink to achieve this) manage to physically mutate into a beautiful ex?
Interpol are here to answer that question. Playing one of their more low-key gigs (y’know, when they’re not headlining Brixton), Paul Banks and co. take to the seedy surroundings for their new ‘My Desire’ video. Their job is to soundtrack one guy’s complete drunken breakdown, where old photographs are dipped into booze to remove the scent of stale tears.
‘My Desire’ is taken from Interpol’s latest album, ‘El Pintor’.
Interpol play Jools Holland tomorrow night (21st October).
They play the following 2015 dates:
FEBRUARY
06 London, Roundhouse
07 London, Roundhouse
08 Manchester, Albert Hall
10-12 Dublin, Olympia
