Interpol preview new album with ‘Anywhere’ live video

First taste of ‘El Pintor’ was filmed during a show at Brixton Academy.

Steering towards the release of new album ‘El Pintor’, Interpol are previewing their fifth album with a live performance video of ‘Anywhere’.

Footage for the track was recorded at London’s Brixton Academy during their headline slot on the NME Awards Tour earlier this year. It gives the lead single from ‘El Pintor’ a doom setting, with breakneck speed backing Paul Banks’ barking delivery.

‘El Pintor’ is released on 8th September via [PIAS] Co-op, it’s the group’s first record without Carlos Dengler. The remaining members recorded the majority of the album in New York City at Electric Lady Studios and Atomic Sound.

Interpol will support their new record with summer fest appearances, including Glastonbury Festival (27th June). They’re also set to play London’s Electric Ballroom on 25th June.
