Interpol’s Paul Banks directs new ‘Twice As Hard’ video
Banks goes into the ring to film a take from ‘El Pintor’.
Interpol are airing a new video for ‘Twice As Hard’, taken from their recently released fifth album ‘El Pintor’.
Paul Banks is behind the director’s chair for the video, which takes place in a boxing club. In the ring, behind the scenes, it pits the doomy highlight from ‘El Pintor’ right next to the punchbag.
Interpol’s ‘El Pintor’ album is out now. DIY’s four star review says this is the sound of a band hitting form.
“There’s almost a conscious manifesto on the album, returning to familiar tropes at times, showing off new tricks at others, underlining almost every decision, each made correctly,” says reviewer Matthew Davies. “There’s an incredibly heavy atmosphere of control, as if each member is existing in the exact role they can thrive in, as a thrilling part of a greater sum.”
