Isaac Lee-Kronick splinters away from the norm with ‘Julia’

Ahead of shows in London and at The Great Escape, the London newcomer shares his second track.

Isaac Lee-Kronick splinters away from the norm with ‘Julia’

Don’t ask how he pulls it off, but Isaac Lee-Kronick can somehow combine a frenetic sample use not distant from a hip-hop producer, alongside lyrics about being “on the way to see the macadamia trees.” His delivery is wistful and at peace, but within the space of one track, he does everything in his power to escape being pigeonholed as an everyday singer-songwriter.

‘Julia’, his second track to date, balances Isaac’s two extremes. He flits between earnest longing and trip-hop nods, like the two were destined to go hand in hand. And with minimal tools, he explores terrain most newcomers take dog’s years to tackle.

Go chronic for Lee-Kronick below. His new track is premiering on DIY, landing ahead of these UK dates:

MAY
03 London, Sebright Arms (w/ Leif Erikson)
21 Brighton, The Great Escape
