SXSW 2017
It’s All Gone Brits Up! Introducing our SXSW newspaper
A whole heap of your faves are heading Stateside next week.

Like a literal TON of your faves, we’re heading over to SXSW next week. So (obv) with the help of our pals at TicketWeb, we decided to make a newspaper.
‘It’s All Gone Brits Up’ features, as its name suggests, our pick of the best and most exciting UK bands travelling to Austin, Texas for the yearly bonanza of all things New Music (and tacos, apps, weak American beer, etc).
Packed with chats from the likes of The Big Moon, Sundara Karma, Marika Hackman, Blaenavon, Slaves… the list goes on.
Copies of the newspaper will be available to pick up for free at the British Music Embassy (at Latitude 30) and an array of other venues in Austin, Texas, so punters can be fully informed of all the brilliant bands playing the fest from our side of the pond.
For all of those not heading to SXSW, you can have a read below (or pick one up at selected stockists from next week).
While we’re over in Austin, we’re hosting not one but two stages at the event. Blaenavon, Doe and Muncie Girls are among the names playing at the British Music Embassy on Monday 13th March, while Dream Wife, Weaves, Sløtface and Partybaby and more appear at Maggie Mae’s on Friday 17th March.
Plus, we’ll be bringing you all of the action from the festival itself so keep your eye on diymag.com/sxsw from early next week.
Festival special! Featuring Wolf Alice, Kasabian, Lykke Li, Marmozets, Genesis Owusu and more.
