Jack White breaks US vinyl sales record with ‘Lazaretto’

Being a vinyl addict pays off - Jack White’s ‘Lazaretto’ is topping the US chart and it’s also just broken a wax record.

White’s second solo LP has now officially sold more copies in its first week than any other record. The “Ultra” edition of ‘Lazaretto’ has reached over 40,000 sales, the largest since records began in 1991.

‘Lazaretto’ hit the #1 spot in the US, Canada and Denmark in its first week. In the UK, it’s currently sitting pretty at #4, behind Sam Smith, Coldplay and Kasabian.

Jack White’s set to appear on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday 28th June. He’s due onstage at 19.30.
