Jack White: “I Won’t Join Another Band”

Speaking to Q, White suggests he’s got enough band-action with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, but may still do something of his own.

We’ve only just said goodbye to the White Stripes, and already we’re talking about Jack White solo material after the man himself suggested he won’t be starting any new groups.

Speaking to Q, White suggests he’s got enough band-action with The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather, but may still do something of his own.

‘I won’t join another band again,’ Jack revealed. ‘Three’s enough for one lifetime. If I can’t say it in any of these bands, then I’ll say it by myself’.

White reveals he’s recorded a track with Jay-Z (though doesn’t know when or indeed if it will be released), with the rest of his time taken up by Third Man Records.

Jack White guests on Danger Mouse and Daniele Luppi’s ‘Rome’ album, which is set for release later this month.
