Jack White unveils ‘Lazaretto’ video

What’s in it? The question is really, what isn’t.

With second solo album, ‘Lazaretto’, released next week, it’s about time Jack White produced a video for the title track and lead ‘world’s fastest record’ single.

And it looks as though the former White Stripe, erstwhile Raconteur and sometime Dead Weather-er has thrown all but the kitchen sink at it. And maybe, even that too.

‘Lazaretto’ is directed by Jonas & François, and features White in an upholstered suit, that old-fashioned telly with the three stripes on it, a fancy sports car, disco ball, crowbars, a bucking bull, animated shadows, fire, tons of broken glass, and a white snake. Far be it for us to make anything of it, but there was also a white snake in this White Stripes video. Ahem.

Oh, and there’s plenty of footage of Jack and various band members rocking out. Of course.

‘Lazaretto’ the album is released on Monday (9th June) via Third Man/XL Recordings. Jack is set to appear at this year’s Glastonbury Festival later this month, and plays a one-off (sold out) date at Hammersmith Apollo on 5th July.
