Jack White To Record, Press & Release ‘Lazaretto’ Single In One Day
This year’s Record Store Day celebrations sees the release of the title-track from Jack’s new album.

The title ‘Lazaretto’ might sound like a knock-off tropical island, but Jack White isn’t lounging around for the release of his new record.
Ahead of his next solo album’s release, the White Stripes frontman is planning on recording, pressing on vinyl and releasing the title-track in one single day. It’s part of this year’s Record Store Day celebrations. To begin with, he’ll record the song at his own Third Man Studios in Nashville. After that the song gets sent off to United Record Pressing for mastering and pressing - then it’s shipped into the big wide world.
If the single’s still in demand throughout 19th April despite initial releases, the pressing plant will continue to do their business.
“As long as there are fans in line waiting to buy the single, United will continue to press and deliver them to Third Man to sell. Even if it takes all day,’ reads a press release.
Catch up with ‘High Ball Stepper’ from the ‘Lazaretto’ LP, out 10th June.
