Jack White To Write Soundtrack For ‘The Lone Ranger’

Jack White released his debut solo album ‘Blunderbuss’ on Monday 23rd April.

He’s released music with several different bands, he’s released music as a solo artist, and he’s even been a producer and mentor, so what could Jack White get up to next? Well, he’s decided to go and score a film. That’s what.

According to Variety, Mr White will write his first ever film soundtrack for Disney’s ‘The Lone Ranger’.

Starring both Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp, the modern take on the classic western will be directed and produced by Gore Verbinski and Jerry Bruckheimer.

The latter of the pair had the following to say of their musical partner: ”Jack’s an amazing songwriter with a unique style. We’re thrilled to hear his fresh take on the William Tell Overture.”

It was also apparently Verbinski himself who came up with the idea, as Bruckheimer elaborates: ‘Gore hatched the idea and Johnny was thrilled with it. We’re all very excited to have him on board.’
