Jessie Ware shares new single ‘Tough Love’

Jessie Ware’s first move after Mercury Prize nominated debut ‘Devotion’ is ‘Tough Love’, a new single written by both Jessie and producers BenZel (Two Inch Punch and Benny Blanco).

Penned in New York earlier this year, it’s the first taste of a second album that’s also set to feature production credits from ‘Devotion’ stalwarts Kid Harpoon and The Invisible’s Dave Okumu.

BenZel are executive producers on the new album, with the PMR signings previously working with Jessie on ‘If You Love Me’, their 2012 cover of Brownstone.

“It was me experimenting with my voice and having fun with it,” says Ware of the new song. “It just felt right and kind of dictated the route of the next album, much like ‘Devotion’ did on my first album.’”
