Jessie Ware reveals details of lush new album ‘Superbloom’

Her sixth studio outing promises to be a kaleidoscopic disco-pop affair, and will feature recent single ‘I Could Get Used To This’.

Jessie Ware raises the curtain on next era with decadent new single 'I Could Get Used To This'

Jessie Ware has officially announced that her next album, ‘Superbloom’, will be arriving on 10th April via Island/EMI Records, and will continue to expand her glittering discography while also “digging deeper”.

She introduced this new era last week, breaking her nearly three year release drought in glorious fashion with new single ‘I Could Get Used To This’ (us too, tbh) - an opulent pop offering positively dripping in retro glamour.

It’s the first we’ve heard from her since the arrival of ‘That! Feels Good!’ back in 2023, and the track finds Jessie building on her last LP’s principles of pleasure to reach even greater heights, channelling iconic divas like Grace Jones, Whitney Houston and Barbra Streisand.

Explaining more about ‘Superbloom”s overarching concept, Jessie has noted: “Since ‘What’s Your Pleasure?’ I’ve been trying out this fantasy world and escapism. I’m not the most by-the-book ‘pop star’, but I do like to play with dress-up, glamour, and fun. While I love dance music, I wanted to dig deeper with this record; to connect with real relationships and appreciate the love I have, and the fears I have of losing it.”

It’s also the third record she’s A&R’d herself, ensuring she retained full creative control while collaborating with the likes of Barney Lister, Karma Kid, Jon Shave (Charli XCX), Stuart Price, and Ben Baptie (Sault, Little Simz, Adele).

Check out the lavish, theatrical video for ‘I Could Get Used To This’ - in which Jessie becomes an IRL goddess - below.
