Jessie Ware takes on Labrinth’s ‘Jealous’ for Radio 1
The singer-songwriter threw in a little Chaka Khan for good measure.
If the idea of ‘taking it down’ means anything to anyone, it probably means quite a lot to Jessie Ware. Visiting the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge with Fearne Cotton yesterday (ahead of the BRITs 2015 nomination bash, where Ware found herself up for Best British Female) rZN6S6hqCdcthe singer-songwriter managed to do just that to her own ‘You & I (Forever)’ - a song which really doesn’t tick any ‘quick’ boxes to begin with.
She also took on another already-quite-slow number for the requisite cover, Labrinth’s piano ballad, ‘Jealous’, throwing in a little of Chaka Khan’s ‘Through The Fire’ for good measure.
Jessie Ware tours the UK and Ireland beginning next week.
