Johnny Marr confirms autobiography release
‘Set The Boy Free’ is out this November.

Johnny Marr has been gearing up to release an autobiography for the past year, and the ex-Smiths guitarist has finally confirmed a release.
‘Set The Boy Free’ will be, er, set free on 3rd November via hardback, eBook and an audiobook.
It arrives three years on from Morrissey’s own ‘Autobiography’, an instant Penguin Classic, if you remember correctly.
Marr says his new written work will “convey a feeling of breaking free, that has been a constant throughout my life.” It’s a feeling that “expresses itself as escape and discovery … I found it through rock’n’roll and art, and a journey living both in the modern world,” he adds.
