Jon Hopkins airs hour-long BBC Radio 1 Residency
Thursday night show was co-hosted alongside Nosaj Thing.
Jon Hopkins is the latest producer to provide a Residency for BBC Radio 1.
Last night, Hopkins co-hosted an hour-long show alongside LA producer Nosaj Thing, joining the likes of James Blake and Flying Lotus in taking over the station’s airwaves.
Hopkins and Nosaj Thing played music from Burial, Blue Hawaii, Gossamer and Luke Abbott. Nosaj Thing played his own remix of Jon Hopkins’ ‘Us’, while the Domino-signed producer played a Moderat remix of his ‘Abandon Window’ song.
There was also space for one exclusive: A first play of Nosaj Thing’s ‘Medic’ track. New material from Nathan Fake and Hodge also gained an airing.
