Joy Crookes is back with new Vince Staples-featuring new single ‘Pass The Salt’
Her new offering doubles as her first new music since the release of her Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut ‘Skin’.

Joy Crookes is back, and she’s feeling sassy, courtesy of her brand new single ‘Pass The Salt’.
Doubling as her first new music since she released her Mercury Prize-shortlisted debut ‘Skin’ - all the way back in 2021, if you can believe it! - she’s now returned with a feisty, tongue-in-check number that also features an appearance from Vince Staples.
“‘Pass The Salt’ is about a woman I know vaguely, who is nothing short of an arsehole,” Joy explains, in a press release about the track, “who got jealous and started spreading rumours about me. The song is basically me squaring up (musically) and being like, ‘Okay bitch, if you have something to say, come say it to my face’.”
Intrigued? Course you are. Check out the fantastically bold video for the track below.
