JUNK tread lightly with ‘Dennis Wilson’ single

York two-piece show their soft side on a preview of new EP ‘Liquorice’.

York thrashers JUNK are one of the UK’s best kept secrets. Estella Adeyeri and Danny Barton’s fuzz-drenched pop is simple on the outside, brilliantly complex on the inside, and it steps out with new single ‘Dennis Wilson’.

Like the best of their early work, JUNK’s latest is a sweet, sweeping track possessing a dark edge. Vocals are doused in racket, but instead of overwhelming the senses, ‘Dennis Wilson’ manages to peer out through the cracks with something bright and optimistic.

DIY’s got the first play, landing ahead of the band’s UK tour, where they play shows with Tuff Love and J Fernandez. The song’s taken from forthcoming EP ‘Liquorice’, released via Chud Records.
