Kiasmos announce self-titled debut album, stream ‘Burnt’ track

Nordic duo of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rassmussen release their first work this October.

Scandinavian electronic duo Kiasmos - consisting of Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rassmussen - have announced plans to release their debut full-length.

Their first self-titled release is coming out 27th October on Erased Tapes. Consisting of eight single-worded titles, it includes previous singles ‘Looped’ and ‘Thrown’, plus the newly unveiled, string-filled number ‘Burnt’.

Their debut album was recorded in Ólafur’s Reykjavik studio using acoustic instruments. “We decided to start almost completely over with this record, so most of the material is written this year with the idea of making a record that can stand as one piece rather than a collection of songs,” says Arnalds of the project.

Kiasmos take their debut to the following festivals this summer:

AUGUST

17 Hamburg, Dockville Festival

SEPTEMBER

26 Brussels, Bozar Electronic Arts Festival

27 Den Haag, Today’s Art Festival
