No time like the present
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard have “finished” their new album
Aussie psych-heads are showing no signs of slowing down.
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard are relentless. The Melbourne psych force released ‘Nonagon Infinity’ back in February - their eighth album in four years - and they’ve just confirmed completion of a new LP.
Initial reports from Australian site Tone Deaf claimed King Gizzard had started work on the record, after frontman Stu Mackenzie captioned an Instagram post with, “Here we go.”
Posting a link to the Tone Deaf piece on their Flightless Records page, the band confirmed they’d already “Finished” recording the album.
Earlier this year, Stu told Triple J the group were working on “four separate projects… which hopefully we can release next year sometime.” Needless to say, 2017’s going to be fairly busy for King Gizzard fans.
