King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard unveil ‘The Lord of Lightning vs Balrog’

On 23rd June, Aussie psych-mongers King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are set to unveil the second of five albums this year, ‘Murder of the Universe’. Having already revealed the final act of the three-part epic, ‘Han-Tyumi and the Murder of the Universe’, the band are back with another 13-minute epic video for the middle act, ‘The Lord of Lightning vs Balrog’. It features the track ‘The Lord of Lightning’, which the band recently played during their appearance on Conan. Directed by long-time collaborator Jason Galea and Ben Jones, the new clip features the band playing in the middle of the forest while some druids perform a ritual. Presumably this is a ritual that will help to defeat Balrog, but since things descend into chaos complete with lightning (obvs) and the fires of hell, perhaps it wasn’t so successful.
