Kite Base have shared new track ‘Miracle Waves’. The new project of Savages’ Ayşe Hassan, she’s in the band with Pop Noire labelmate and fellow bass player Kendra Frost of Blindness.

The band kicked things off in August with their debut track ‘Dadum’. They’re set to play a handful of live dates, which are below, along with their second release. Speaking about the project’s name in a statement, they said ““One of the main starting points found in origami, a Kite Base is an opening move made with simple folds to generate a firm and fertile foundation for creativity. It can become whatever you want it to be- simple or complex- based on the imagination of the creator, inspiration and chance. To us, the ‘Kite’ also symbolises the generation of ideas and setting them free to evolve organically, embracing change. The ‘Base’ is the final ordering of thesethoughts once they have been allowed to settle. It is a symbiotic relationship. A duo. Our working methodology.”

In related news, Ayşe Hassan’s other band Savages announced their second album ‘Adore Life’ earlier this month. Kite Base play the following dates.

21 Le Mini Who? 2015 / Subbacultcha!, Utrecht
23 L’International, Paris
