Krill get gross with their new ‘Peanut Butter’ video
Boston trio are readying a UK release of their underground gem ‘Lucky Leaves’ LP.
2014 is officially the year of peanut butter. Oxford’s Glass Animals put the wheels in motion with their ‘Gooey’ singalong of “peanut butter vibes” (the weirdest thing to hear sung out by hundreds at a gig, seriously) and Boston garage punks Krill are officially taking the next step. Just before we hit peak peanut butter, they’re spreading the yucky but oh-so-tasty stuff just about everywhere in their video of the same name.
‘Peanut Butter’ sees the goo appearing in sandwiches, on people’s faces, in bodybags and as the main event of a party. That’s how Krill role - screw booze and drugs. You can have a way better time snorting peanut butter (and yes, this happens).
The track appears as a special bonus cut on the UK release of their ‘Lucky Leaves’ LP, which originally came out in the US last year. New London label Steak Club are giving it another run alongside Blood & Biscuits, offering a limited vinyl release on 17th November. ‘Peanut Butter’ also features on a four-band split EP for Exploding in Sound / Double Double Whammy alongside Ovlov, LVL UP and Radiator Hospital - out 13th October.
