Lady Gaga is ‘banned from China’ because she met the Dalai Lama
Spiritual leader met the superstar last weekend.

Lady Gaga has reportedly been banned from China for the second time in her career, following a meeting with spiritual leader the Dalai Lama.
As reports Hong Kong publication Apple Daily, the country’s communist party has issued “an important instruction”, preventing Gaga and her team from entering mainland China.
According to The Guardian, despite measures to prevent Chinese websites from hosting or distributing Gaga’s music, it was still possible yesterday to download her singles via China’s QQ Music and NetEase Cloud Music services.
Previously, Gaga was banned from entering China following the release of ‘Born This Way’, in 2011. The restriction was lifted in 2014.
Gaga and the Dalai Lama’s meeting took place last Sunday (26th June), where they discussed yoga and mental health. The event was livestreamed on Gaga’s Facebook page. Watch the 19-minute video here.
