Lady Gaga and Doechii drop bombastic video for joint single ‘Runway’

Ahead of the hugely-anticipated arrival of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in cinemas this Friday (1st May), Lady Gaga and Doechii have unveiled a gloriously maximalist new video to accompany ‘Runway’, their collab single that also doubles up as our first preview of the film’s soundtrack.

A pulsing, club-ready cut that comes complete with a badass bassline and attitude galore, ‘Runway’ is the first time Gaga and Doechii have joined forces on tape, although the pair have long held mutual admiration for each other, with Gaga recently calling the ‘DENIAL IS A RIVER’ rapper “immediately legendary” in a recent interview with British Vogue.

And in the track’s larger-than-life visualiser, the two amp things up even more, evoking everything from the ’60s ballroom scene and Berghain to the Mad Hatter’s tea party, as they strike a pose with killer backing dancers and (of course) a whole host of runway-ready looks. Ru Paul’s Drag Race, eat your heart out.
