Lady Gaga announces 'Harlequin', a companion album to new film Joker: Folie à Deux

Lady Gaga has released a surprise new album entitled ‘Harlequin’, a 13-track record that will act as an accompaniment to her upcoming new film Joker: Folie à Deux (the anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning 2019 screenplay).

Out now via Interscrope Records, the LP has been dubbed LG6.5, bridging the gap between 2020’s ‘Chromatica’ and the popstar’s next solo project. Since ‘Chromatica’, Lady Gaga has collaborated with Tony Bennett (on 2021’s ‘Love For Sale’), Hans Zimmer (on the 2022 soundtrack for Top Gun: Maverick), and most recently Bruno Mars (on August’s ‘Die With A Smile’).

Jumping fearlessly between genres, ‘Harlequin’ was co-executive produced entirely by Lady Gaga and Michael Polansky, and features both originals and creative re-imaginings of classics like ‘If My Friends Could See Me Now’ and ‘That’s Entertainment’, transformed through the lens of the eponymous character’s chaotic, rebellious spirit.

What’s more, Lady Gaga has also shared a snippet of the new Joker film - soundtracked by album cut ‘The Joker’ - in which her character Harley Quinn explores Paris’ iconic Louvre Museum at night.

Watch the teaser clip and listen to ‘The Joker’ below.

Harlequin tracklist:
1. Good Morning
2. Get Happy (2024)
3. Oh, When the Saints
4. World on a String
5. If My Friends Could See Me Now
6. That’s Entertainment
7. Smile
8. The Joker
9. Folie à Deux
10. Gonna Build a Mountain
11. Close to You
12. Happy Mistake
13. That’s Life
