Lana Del Rey shares new Disciples remix of ‘Ultraviolence’
Title-track from LDR’s second album is coming out as a single on 18th August.
Lana Del Rey isn’t the traditional source for a ‘certified Friday night banger’, but bloody hell, look what we have here: The title-track from her superb second album ‘Ultraviolence’ has been flipsided, sheened and pristined into an amped-up electronic number by way of London production team Disciples.
A standout from LDR’s latest record is gaining a new single release on 18th August. Earlier this month it arrived alongside a wedding dress-sporting, walking and talking polaroid of a music video. Watch that here.
DIY’s review of ‘Ultraviolence’ dished out a four star rating, saying: “She’s a Wes Anderson character that’s wound up in a David Lynch film, and she knows it. ‘Ultraviolence’ sees her playing with pre-conceived ideas. ‘Born to Die’ didn’t have a moment’s notice to deal with the backlash. This second record knocks the rumours and naysayers out of the park.”
