Lazy Day bust some moves in new ‘Real Feel’ video
It’s the quartet’s first new material since the release of their March EP ‘Letters’.
Indie rockers Lazy Day are back with their first new track since the release of their ‘Letters’ EP! Revealing ‘Real Feel’, it’s an anthemic newbie, which songwriter Tilly Scantlebury describes as “about being pushed and pulled between the past and the present, and between being sad and feeling hopeful. I find it scary how much control your past has over you and your future, so a lot of these lyrics deal with this fear of being dragged backwards. Ultimately though, this song feels like a reminder to myself to not let things get in the way of being happy, and to keep moving forwards.”
Accompanied by a brand new vid directed by Joe Snelling, the London four-piece bust some, um, interesting moves, fully translating the fun that Lazy Day embody. “The ability to overcome something sad and turn it into something joyful isn’t only what ‘Real Feel’ is about, but is also how I see Lazy Day itself,” Tilly says. “I really wanted the video to show that transformation, starting from somewhere quite lonely and then building into something that gives a true sense of happiness. We had so much fun dancing together as a band and trying to keep a straight face. I hope people at the shows learn some of these dance moves and groove along with us.”
