Leeds’ Autobahn offer out free cover of Blitz’s ‘New Age’

This October sees Leeds newcomers Autobahn joining fellow city-dwellers Eagulls on their UK tour, with the latter currently leading the charge on forthright, unashamed, modern-day punk.

It’s Autobahn’s job to hark back this time round. They’ve taken on Blitz’s seminal ‘New Age’ track, and they’re giving it away as a free download to anyone that fancies having their ears rinsed out, no penny spent.

The track bridges a gap between Autobahn’s self-titled EP on Tough Love and a forthcoming debut album, which is being recorded in January 2015. “This song grabs you by the balls, makes you forget about life’s problems and kicks out against those who don’t care. The original is a go to record of all of ours which we enjoyed playing live over our release shows earlier in the year. This free download is to give back to everyone who’s supported us over the past year, thanks,” says vocalist Craig Johnson.
