Leeds band Chaika get reflective with ‘The Mirror’

Leeds’ Chaika could be banging on about anything, it’d bring you to a dizzying end-point. There’s fear and a hot fever running through ‘The Mirror’, a darkness-drenched new single from the four-piece, arriving on the scene with a noir take on psych.

Recording with Matt Peel (Eagulls, Pulled Apart By Horses) earlier this year, ‘The Mirror’ swarms the senses without a moment’s notice. It’s a beastly, swaggering work that sounds more haunted with every step. Halloween’s arrived early, if you ask these guys.

On 16th October, Chaika play Beacons Metro’s Headrow House in Leeds for DIY Presents. You can also catch them at Manchester’s Castle Hotel (9th October) and Hull’s Polar Bear (20th October).
