Lightcliffe impress on ‘Mistakes I Seem To Make’ tape

The two-track collection is out via Honeypot Records and Backpack Records this Friday (7th April).

Brighton via London quartet Lightcliffe have only been a band for just over a year, but they’re already honing their own brand of emo pop. Their new two-track collection, out on tape via Honeypot Records and Backpack Records this Friday (7th April), blends more traditional twinkly emo with a crunchier, poppier sound. First track ‘Saboteur’ is hooky to the extreme, while its counterpart ‘Bedtime Or Nightcap?’ takes a more sinister turn. In the space of a pair of tracks, Lightcliffe open up a world of possibilities, taking the ’90s emo they’re clearly indebted to, to new, brighter, distinctly more British places. The tape comes out on Friday, and can be pre-ordered here (via Backpack) and here (via Honeypot. Listen to ‘Mistakes I Seem To Make’ below.
